In brief
- We work on prepayment: a balance in US dollars (USD), topped up in USDT.
- The cost of a generation is charged in advance. If a generation fails, the money returns to your balance automatically.
- The unspent part of a top-up can be refunded within 7 days of the top-up. When you delete your account, the remaining balance is not refunded.
- Price increases take effect no sooner than 7 days after notice; price reductions take effect immediately.
- The API key is shown once. You are responsible for requests made with your key.
- Results are stored for 1 day and references for 48 hours after the last upload: download your results right away.
- Your content and results remain yours. The rules for content are in “Acceptable use”.
1Who we are and what these terms cover
1.1Rendergrid (rendergrid.io, “we”) gives access to image generation models through one API.
1.2These terms apply between us and you—the person or company that has created an account, received an API key or otherwise uses the service (“you”). By using the service, you agree to the terms.
1.3The service is intended for businesses and developers.
1.4The Privacy policy, Acceptable use and Cookie policy apply together with these terms. Partners are also bound by the Partner terms.
2Account and API keys
2.1An account is required to use the service. Provide accurate details and keep access to your account email: emails about payment, keys and changes are sent there.
2.2We store a hash of the key and its beginning (rg_live_ and 8 characters) so that you can recognize the key in the list; we show the key itself once, when it is created. We cannot show it again: if you lose it, create a new one.
2.3A key is like a password. Do not publish it, do not give it to others and do not put it in client-side code. You are responsible for all requests made with your key.
2.4If a key may have reached someone else, revoke it in the portal and write to us: support@rendergrid.io.
3Balance, payment and refunds
3.1We work on prepayment. The balance is kept in US dollars (USD). The price of an image depends on the model and the resolution; it is shown on the pricing page and in the API before you send a request.
3.2You top up your balance in USDT in the “Balance and top-up” section. You choose the amount, and exactly that amount arrives on your balance: we pay the payment service’s fee. The network fee for the transfer itself is paid by the wallet you send from, and it is not refunded. The minimum amount depends on the network; the portal shows it. For large top-ups, a bonus is added to the balance: it can be spent on images, but it is not money and cannot be returned to a wallet. More details are in the crypto top-up terms in the documentation.
3.3The payment address is valid for 30–50 minutes, depending on the network. If less arrives, we credit the amount actually received, after the payment window closes and the payment is confirmed. If more arrives, the full amount is credited.
3.4A payment that arrives after the window has closed, a second time to the old address or on another network, is not credited automatically. Send the transaction hash to support (support@rendergrid.io), and we will credit the money once the payment is confirmed.
3.5The payment processor may freeze a payment while it carries out an AML check. We will credit the money if the processor releases the payment. Answer its requests through our support.
3.6The cost of a generation is charged before the work begins. If a generation fails, the charge is returned to your balance automatically. This also applies when the model declines to create an image because of the content of the request.
3.7The unspent part of a top-up can be refunded in USDT. Request the refund in the portal within 7 days of that top-up and confirm the request by logging in again and with a second factor. The refund goes only to the wallet from which your account’s top-ups came. We send it manually, review every request and give the reason if we decline. The requested amount is deducted from your balance immediately; if the request is declined or cancelled before it is sent, the amount returns to your balance. You pay the network fee: we deduct it from the refund amount. The top-up bonus, partner program payouts to the balance and the credit limit are not refunded; if you take money back, the bonus of that top-up is removed from your balance in full.
3.8The price of a request is the one in effect when it was sent. A price change does not affect requests you have already sent. We raise prices with at least 7 days’ notice; price reductions take effect immediately.
3.9Prices are shown without taxes. You pay any taxes that you are required to pay yourself.
4What the service does
4.1We accept your request, pass it to the selected model, return the result and keep records. The same model can create different images for the same request: we do not promise a specific result.
4.2Result files are stored for 1 day and then deleted. Download them to your own storage right away. A generation record or a link in the response does not guarantee that the file is still available.
4.3Reference images that you upload are stored for 48 hours after the last upload and then deleted together with their record.
4.4Request limits and other technical restrictions are described in the documentation. We may change them.
4.5We do our best to keep the service running without interruptions, but we do not guarantee it: we have no service level agreement (SLA). The state of the service is on the status page.
5Your content and rights
5.1Requests (prompts), uploaded images and results are together called “content”. You are responsible for your content: for your right to use it and for how you use the results.
5.2We do not claim any rights to your content and results. We only need a license to provide the service: to store the content, pass it to the selected model and return the result to you.
5.3Rights to results depend on applicable law and on the terms of the model’s maker. Check them before you use a result for commercial purposes.
5.4Content must comply with Acceptable use.
6What is not allowed
6.1Violating Acceptable use, bypassing the limits and protections of the service, giving keys to other people, and creating load above the limits.
6.2Giving keys to other people without your control. Reselling access to the service is allowed, and agencies and studios may use it for their clients; you are responsible for requests made with your keys (clause 2.3).
6.3If you violate the terms, we may restrict a key, stop requests or close the account. Details are in Acceptable use.
7Data
7.1How we process data is described in the Privacy policy.
7.2To create an image, we pass your request and references to the selected model. The service cannot work without this.
8Warranties and liability
8.1The service is provided “as is”. The result of a generation is unpredictable and may not suit your task.
8.2We are liable for direct damage caused by our culpable error, in an amount not exceeding what you paid us over the last 3 months. We are not liable for indirect losses or lost profit, to the extent the law allows.
8.3We are not liable for failures in blockchain networks, at the payment processor or at other parties that do not depend on us.
8.4The limitations of this section do not apply where the law prohibits them.
9How to stop using the service
9.1You can stop at any time: revoke your keys and close your account. If you need a refund, request it before deletion under clause 3.7: when an account is deleted, the remaining balance is not refunded and is lost. The portal says this on the deletion screen, before the button.
9.2We may suspend access or close your account if you have violated these terms or the law. We will give the reason unless the law forbids it.
10Changes to the terms
10.1We may change the terms. We will tell you about material changes by email to your account address and in the portal in advance. If you keep using the service, you agree to the new version. If you do not agree, stop using the service.
11Disputes
11.1If a dispute arises, we first try to settle it by agreement: write to support@rendergrid.io.
11.2If these terms are translated into another language, the translation is provided for information only; if the versions differ, the English version prevails.
