EvoLink API alternative: Rendergrid
EvoLink is a platform with a single API for image, video, audio, and text models. Below are the prices for our models from their public pages and the terms that affect your choice.
A Rendergrid article. We’re one of the parties in this comparison, so the EvoLink figures come only from its public pages, each with a link and a date, and below we say separately when EvoLink is the better choice. How we check and correct
01Who it is
What EvoLink is
Briefly, and only from their own pages. Website: evolink.ai.
EvoLink (evolink.ai) is a platform with a unified API to 170+ models. Multimodal requests (images, video, audio) work asynchronously: a request returns a task identifier, the status is collected by polling or through an HTTPS callback, and the links to the result stop working after a while.
For Google models, the price of an image depends on the resolution, and separate lines for reference images, search, and text tokens are added to it. GPT Image at EvoLink is billed by tokens. Nano Banana also has “Beta” variants: cheaper, but, in their words, availability is not guaranteed.

The difference is measured from the larger of the two prices, rounded down to a whole percent. The “≈” sign is an estimate that the provider’s own page gives. For GPT Image, quality and size differ between providers: each one’s conditions are in the footnote. We compare prices, not image quality. Nano Banana Flash, Nano Banana 2 Lite, and GPT Image 2 HD are not in the table: we haven’t checked the provider’s prices for them. Our own prices and the official Google and OpenAI prices are on the “Pricing” page.
03Terms
Payment, starter credits, and operating mode
What EvoLink’s pages say, next to our terms. Where a page is silent, we say so.
Terms: EvoLink and Rendergrid
| Condition | EvoLink | Rendergrid |
|---|---|---|
| Payment | Cards (Stripe), Alipay, and WeChat Pay, bank transfer for companies; top-ups from $10 (1 credit ≈ $0.0147); purchased credits don’t expire; invoices are issued in your accountsource | USDT (crypto top-up): the full amount sent is credited to the balance |
| Credits at no charge | New accounts are promised credits at no charge to try the service, and no card is needed to sign up; the amount is not named on the checked pagessource | There’s no trial balance |
| Synchronous or asynchronous | Asynchronous: POST /v1/ | Asynchronous: POST returns 202 and an ID; the result comes through polling GET /creations/ |
| Webhooks | Yes: the optional callback_url field (HTTPS); a callback is sent on completion, error, or cancellation, after the charge is confirmed; a reply is needed within 10 seconds, up to 3 retries. The delivery signature is not described on the checked pagessource | Yes: webhook_url in every request; the creation.completed and creation.failed events; an HMAC-SHA256 signature over the timestamp and the whole request body |
| Failed request | Failed generations are not charged; a GPT Image 2 task that reaches the final state failed is not chargedsource 1 source 2 | If a generation fails, the charge is returned to the balance automatically; a declined request is refunded the same way |
| Limits | Limits are set per model (requests per minute, concurrency, number of tasks), and the numbers are not named on the checked pages; a raise is by request to supportsource | By default for a new account: 120 requests per minute and up to 100 generations queued or running; account limits can be adjusted to match your traffic |
| Result storage | Results are available for 24–72 hours and are then deleted; links to images and video “usually expire,” and they advise downloading right awaysource 1 source 2 | Result files are stored for one day |

04Strengths
Where we’re stronger, and where EvoLink is
Only what can be verified from public pages and our documentation.
Where Rendergrid is stronger
- A request is charged for one image at the chosen resolution (this is what our documentation says). At EvoLink, the price of an image comes with extra charges for each reference image, for search, and for text tokens.
- The GPT Image price is stated per image and resolution. At EvoLink, GPT Image is billed by tokens: the total depends on size, quality, reference images, and the number of images, and the page gives only examples.
- Limits are stated as numbers: by default 120 requests per minute and up to 100 generations queued or running. At EvoLink, limits are set per model, and the numbers are not named on the checked pages.
- The webhook is signed: HMAC-SHA256 over the timestamp and the body, the delivery has an identifier, and the secret can be rotated. EvoLink’s callback_url signature is not described on the checked pages.
Where EvoLink is stronger
- The catalog is wider: 170+ models on one key, including video, audio, and text.
- Payment by card, Alipay, WeChat Pay, and bank transfer; top-ups from $10, and purchased credits don’t expire. Ours is USDT: the full amount sent is credited to the balance.
- New accounts are promised credits at no charge to try the service. We have no trial balance.
- There are cheaper but less reliable Beta variants of the Nano Banana models, plus a separate GPT Image 2 route at a fixed $0.015 per 1K image.
- Invoices in the account and volume prices for teams spending from about $5,000 a month.
05Choosing
When to pick EvoLink instead
We write this page as a participant in the comparison, so we name separately the cases where EvoLink suits you better.
Pick EvoLink if
- You need a broad catalog of models on one key, including video and audio.
- You find a card, Alipay, WeChat Pay, or bank transfer and a small first top-up ($10) convenient.
- You’re ready to count tokens and pay for GPT Image by actual use.
- Cheaper Beta variants suit you, even though availability isn’t guaranteed.

Migrating to Rendergrid in three steps

Instead of a body with model, prompt, size, resolution, and quality, call POST /images/

Instead of GET /v1/
tasks/ {id} with the statuses pending, processing, completed, and failed and the results field, use GET /creations/ {id} (queued, processing, completed, and failed; links in result_urls) or the creation.completed webhook. Our files are kept for a day, so download them right away.
